BAD GIRL BROWS

Before Your Appointment

Please review these guidelines before your appointment to help prepare your skin for PMU and support the best possible healing.

01 — 24 HOURS BEFORE

  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours and limit caffeine on the day of your appointment.

  • Avoid non-prescribed aspirin, ibuprofen, or supplements that may increase bleeding when possible. Never stop prescribed medication without medical advice.

  • Try to get at least 7 hours of sleep the night before.

02 — BROW PREPARATION

  • Avoid trimming, shaving, plucking, waxing, or threading your brows for as long as possible before your appointment.

  • Avoid brow tinting or lamination for 1 month.

03 — SKINCARE

  • Avoid retinol/retinoids, AHA/BHA, scrubs, and exfoliants around the brows for 2 weeks.

  • The brow area must be fully healed and free from redness, peeling, excessive dryness, irritation, or sensitivity.

  • Do not stop prescription skincare without medical guidance.

04 — FACIAL, LASER & COSMETIC TREATMENTS

  • Facials, lasers, and skin treatments are fine if the brow area is completely avoided. If the brow area has been treated, wait until the skin is fully healed.

  • Botox does not prevent PMU, but forehead Botox may temporarily affect brow position or symmetry.

  • After surgery involving the eyes, nose, forehead, temples, or surrounding areas, including LASIK/LASEK, please wait at least 3 months.

05 — HEALTH & MEDICAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • Please wait until you are no longer pregnant or breastfeeding before having PMU.

  • Please consult your healthcare provider before PMU if you have keloid or abnormal scarring, diabetes or impaired healing, a bleeding or clotting disorder, or immunosuppression.

  • PMU may not be suitable if you have a history of severe reactions to tattoo pigments or topical anesthetics.

06 — PLEASE WAIT IF…

Please postpone your appointment if you have:

  • An active infection or illness

  • Eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, rash, wounds, or irritation around the brows

  • Active acne in the treatment area

  • Sunburned, peeling, or damaged skin around the brows

  • A recent brow-area procedure that has not fully healed

Your skin should be healthy, intact, and calm on the day of your appointment.
